After a meaningful and fulfilling career in the Call Center/BPO Industry, I am now embarking on a new career in the field of IT. Programming was really something I was passionate doing back in college days. When many opportunities were laid before me this year, my first passion was revived. Shifting to IT wasn't easy especially since I am no longer competitive in terms of programming aptitude for obvious reasons. Although I am considered "experienced" at least in the Call Center/BPO Industry, it dealt with a different nature of work where software programming wasn't part.
Here's where God's perfect timing came into play. Prior to being led to the career path that He has prepared for me I went through several things in which my faith was shaken, tested and strengthened. That period served as a testimony of God's faithfulness. As I sought God first the unveiling of His plan surely came to pass.
In October of this year, I was offered a job by an IT outsourcing company which includes a 6-week training plus opportunities for growth. Just this week we have already started with our training. So far everything is going well and I am trusting that everything would fall into place in the coming days, months and years. He who has started a good work in me would surely be the one to finish it!

Temporary separation
Today, October 28, 2008, my Love went on an out-of-country vacation. I am in mixed emotions, sad and at the same time happy. Sad because I'm gonna miss our quality time together. Happy because I know she's gonna have a great time with her relatives there. Exploring the island of Honolulu, Hawaii was one of her dreams so this one's really gonna make her happy. Times like these, temporary separation that is, make you realize how deep your love is for a person. This is also a test for both man and woman if the foundation of their love is strong enough to withstand time and distance which may include infrequent communication. Meaningful conversations are one of the things I'll surely miss while my Honey is away. We have remained transparent to each other since we entered into a relationship; voicing out anything under the sun even the small things that may seem nonsense to others. Above all things, praying together is a major one we would miss doing. This we made as a commitment to honor God in our relationship and strengthen our faith in Him. It gives an incomparable fulfillment when we grew first in our relationship with our Lord Jesus before our relationship with each other. Everything else follows and comes perfect as we continuously seek His mind and purpose.
Even though she is far from me I know God is there to comfort me. He is my First Love and He is above all in my life anyway.

Perfect Plan Assured!
This passage of scripture appeared new again and assured me of a perfect plan from God! Worry has no place in my heart and mind as all things would definitely fall into place.
“For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”- Jeremiah 29:11

NYC 101
With NYC 101, I intend to share with you some pieces of useful info I learned during my recent visit to New York City. NYC is indeed the busiest city in the world and the city never sleeps. Just a ride on the subway train proved it right. People always seem to be in a hurry and trains never run out of passengers even during late nights as the subway service runs 24/7. You probably thought that some of the basic things that we do here in the Philippines are applicable in NYC like I did but not quite. In fast food chains, to mean you're gonna eat inside the store you should use the term "to stay" and "to go" if you're gonna take the food outside of store. They won't get it right away if you use "dine in" or "take out." If you're a fan of iced tea, make sure that you tell them you like "sweetened/lemon iced tea" otherwise they're gonna give you a plain cold tea. If you got used to leaving your junk on the table after eating at least in fast food chains, then don't bring that habit in NYC as they're serious about self-service. People who would use the table after you might get mad at you if you just leave without cleaning your junk. Who among you don't give gratuity/tip when eating in a fine-dining restaurant? Same here, I actually give depending on the quality of service provided. Well, this practice is not accepted in NYC. Never leave a diner without giving gratuity/tip otherwise the food server can run after you! This is because it's mandated in their law. Same rule applies with taxi/cab services. There you have it! I hope you found this helpful on your forthcoming or future visit to New York City.

My missing part
Life is so amazing. Just look at how people cross paths. They meet as planned and with various reasons. This is even more amazing. Of all people you meet there's only one who sticks with you throughout your lifetime. Your desire to pursue her and capture her heart ceases not. You begin to do little and great things as an expression of what you feel inside. She is so contagious that her emotion dictates yours. The thought of having her in every step of the way takes away your fears. The magic that she brings into your life just goes on... My best friend and soon-to-be lifetime partner kleyrsant brought out the mysteriously unusual side in me. Next to God she indeed completed my life's missing part.
The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman, for she was taken out of man."-Genesis 2:23(NIV)
